HELP!! Did i pass boards if it says "you already have a license of this type"

Published

Ok so i took my NCLEX here in PA on this past friday. I went onto pearson vue and tried to do the "trick" to see if i got the pop up and i did not get the pop up (not sure if this matters but i checked using google chrome and not Internet explorer etc) So when i go onto the state board site and go to perform an application for a nursing license by examination and click next it comes up with "input error... you already have a license of this type"

Now i know that many people go by the pearson vue trick and that its supposively 99% accurate, but did i pass by the boards site? Im a nervous wreck since i have to wait till tomorrow til i can find out, but would be nice to know if anyone knows if i have passed or have experienced this before

Thanks ahead of time!!

Sounds like YOU are licensed...

Check the BON site tomorrow, or Tuesday.

I took the NCLEC on a Friday afternoon, and my license was up on the BON site on Tuesday.

Ah that would be awesome! I hope that's the case! and OK I am glad you said that so i don't pull my hair out if its not up tomorrow lol @ladyfree28

Hopefully so! How do you think you did?

I had 265 questions, i think i did pretty well, but of course there were some things i had no idea on. Random meds for aids, and some select all that applies etc

Is this the message? If so it doesn't mean anything because that's the message I got and I didn't take my boards yet, not to kill your vibe but I was just checking to see for myself incase I get the cc page from pvt I could have another way to check but seems that won't help! But thanks for the idea .

Yeah this is the message i received....shoot! I did not get the person vue pop up and it continued to let me pay for another examination. I had friends in the class get 265 and got that message and thought they passed and they did so thats why i was thinking the same

don't get down yet! The only thing we know about the pvt is that the good pop-up is accurate not the cc page!

Thanks for all of your help. Unfortunately i did not pass. I am pretty down about it, but i know that i will bounce back stronger on the next attempt. Does anyone know if there is anything else i need to do besides pay for a new exam? It sucks waiting 45 days to retest

I thought that your message was from Pearson Vue; my apologies.

What you can do is what you were below passing in, review the weaknesses as well as any other issues you may have caused you some struggle, then test again; remember, most readiness scores should be near or above 70%, the higher the percentage, the higher your chance to pass.

Sending positive vibes in passing NCLEX!

Make sure you take a week off and then start studying again. Start with topics you know will appear again (ex. Infection control, communicable diseases, DM, etc).
