I need to get out of my contract with this company...looking for any info or anyone who has been successful... Distance Learning keeps you legally binded to them even though you dont have all the materials and I would like to return to the classroom. I m feeling ripped off
Thanks

I don't see how you are legally binded to them.
You can simply not pay the yearly fees.
They will not destroy the records they have.
Then, in the future, if you need to pick back up with them,
just pay the fees again.
Thank you for your input- Distance Learning is a company that produces study guides to go with Excelsior texts to help a student pass the exams better for about $5000. not including test fees. When you sign on with them, you have three days to change your mind..not like a traditional college. My question is , I only get the materials when I register for a test at Excelsior, so why cant I just drop out of this program seeing as I'm continually paying for items I have yet to recieve. The rep I have been dealing with at DLC since the beginning is not a nice lady and I dont want them to ruin my credit either, but I feel I want to be back in the classroom. DLC states they want to help you get ahead in your life but if life takes you in a different direction and you want to change, they re not going to release a student because it affects their bottom line.....
