Help choosing school to transfer to to complete RN study and also take pre-med course

Hi i am new to this site, i always visit but i actually have a question.

i have just had a revelation that i actually do want to become a pediatric surgeon but my halway goal is to become a pediatric nurse. i start community college next month to take sum pre-req courses and they said i should look at some universities to transfer to after my two years. i am a single mother and i would like to use this time to get out and venture into a new state. i live in IL and i have lived in MO, (STL) if it is a must and better for my education then i would gladly stay in the two but just wanted to know the possibilities. any ideas on any shcools that are really good that i could transfer to? i did not have the best grades in high school and i dont even want to mention my ACT but i have never wanted to go to school and learn as much as i can b4. after i finish my RN and pediatric studiea and all to become a pediatric nurse hopefully i could work in the surgeon area while going to med school and then after med school get a job with that degree to help me pay for the courses and residency i need for pediatric surgeon. i am willing to be in school for as long as it takes and i know it will be long. but i really want to do this so does any one have any ideas on school??? med school alos would help in my future. also any really good children hospitals that i could work at. i am going to get my cna certificate b4 the year is up. sorry so long just wanted to make sure i had all my background info up. :)

If you want to go into med school, they generally suggest you do not do nursing. They rather have you major in biology, bio-chem, etc.
