Hello all!
I am about 5 weeks away from being done with nursing school. I'm not going to lie, I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up. I've been an LVN for three years, much of that time wondering why I was doing it.
I just kept chugging away at nursing school, honestly having no idea this whole time what I was going to do and if I was even in the right career.
Everyone I know says I'm good at nursing, I really liked taking care of patients, I love the fast pace and the ever-increasing knowledge I attain each day. But, I still didn't know what I wanted to do....
Then, yesterday, I got to go to the NICU for the first time....
And I am forever changed, and now I know what I want to be!
Thank you for all the wonderful stickies on here that had me laughing and crying half the night, it was a great look into what I hope I get to do very soon!
It's great to be part of this community of nurses and I hope all you wonderful NICU nurses have a great thanksgiving.:bowingpur
P.S. The irony is that I was preemie in a NICU for two months, one of those dreaded 35 weekers.... You would think I would have figured this out sooner
