Hello, I'm new student, has anyone ever worked in a veterans hospital or home?

Hello I,m a new student. I just posted for the 1st time in the greetings Forum. I was just curious has anyone ever worked in a Veterans Hospital or Veterans Home? If so, were you happy working there? What were the conditions like etc. etc.? I'm writing a short paper about this subject for an English class. If I make it through the nursing school I thought I might be interested in seeking employment at a VA Hospital or Home. Any input good or bad would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
