Hello there! I am new and I need some serious help!

i have just started my second quarter of school and i am having some trouble understanding things in med-surg and pharm! i need some advice as to how i would go about finding things to help me understand better! if anyone has any advice i will be more than happy ti listen and try! i need all the help i can get! i have my first test tomorow and i am unsure because i am not comprehending what i am reading! if there is ianything anyone can do please help!!!!!!!!!!!

i think you've waited too long to ask for help ! you have to get help asap or you'll fall behind quick. see if your nursing program has a counselor especially for students who need extra help. are you a visual learner ? if you are then write down all pertinent information, and read it over and over every night. read to someone out loud what you are studying, this helps alot. if you don't want to do that then read out loud to yourself. find someone in class to study with ! you'd be surprised how many little things you might miss in lecture that the other person wrote down. i found that i am strong in note taking i write down everything and explaining details and my study partner is good at math. get a tape recorder to listen to lecture over and over and pick up the details of what you might not understand. make your own spreadsheet with columns by hand for pharm., write down all drugs, side effects, generic and trade and nursing implications that way you can visually see the meds on one sheet, hang it up so you can glance at it. hope this helps ! good luck.
