I used to post here often about a year ago. I see some familiar faces in the crowd. I am finishing up my pre-req's for the ADN program. I am taking micro and interpersonal communication this quarter and then applying for entrance in the spring of 2010. So far I have a 4.0 and I am crossing my fingers I will be able to keep that. My nursing advisor says that since entrance is mostly on GPA that I should be accepted on my first try. I am still nervous because there are 400 applicants each quarter and only 40 or so seats avail.
If anyone has any tips or tricks for Micro I would love to hear them! Thanks for letting me re-introduce myself. I wish all of us much luck in the coming new year.

Hi Sara :)
Micro was one of my favorite classes. I did find that Open Labs were essential - bacteria don't grow on your schedule. :) It also takes practice with the staining techniques, and once you have those down, your life will be a lot easier.
In my class, we were given two unknowns during the semester, so being able to get the basic techniques down was very helpful with timing.
I think you'll really love it!
