Health Services Coordinator

When I got up this afternoon, from my day sleep, my husband showed me a job opening in the local newspaper. The job title is "Health Services Coordinator", they prefer a LPN. It's a M-F job, with weekends off, holidays off, and "great pay and benefits". It's at a nursing home facility not far from my house. This facility has a very good reputation. Right now I work at a SNF/ICF, on the night shift. I love my job and the elderly I care for.

I would love a day time job and this one seems like a great opportunity. I have adjusted to the night shift, but it is still hard on my body.

Can someone give me an idea what a Health Services Coordinator would do in an assisted living section of this facility? I want to have a clear idea before I apply. If I get an interview I want to be able to answer their questions without sounding dumb.

Can someone give me an idea what a Health Services Coordinator would do in an assisted living section of this facility?>>>>>>..It varies from facility to facility and state to state...I turned down a position like this several years ago because I was uncomfortable with the lack of regulation in assisted living at that time...You really need to go for an interview with a list of questions..Commonly in my area they would have nursing assitants (not always certified) to actually perform the adl's with the residents and "help" them self-administer their meds...This position is proably in the clinic area co-ordinating appointments out of the facility,doctor's rounds (if they actually come there)Maybe administering eye gtts and other treatments,injections,blood pressure checks...I would want to know where my responsibilty lies as far as med admin goes.Do they keep an MAR? Who can take orders,transcribe them and order meds?...who is directly responsible for the actions of the aides.What about RN's? Any around? What about codes?..Mon thru Fri sounds good on the surface
