I worked for Health First Cape Canaveral about 5 years ago now. Don't know how it's changed since then (or if it has) but I loved working there. It's a smaller hospital and everyone knows everyone else. I never had more than 6 patients and we always had a CNA. It was busy but there was really good teamwork. I eventually worked float pool and even as a float nurse people treated me as part of the team. It's a beautiful location, too. As an experienced nurse I think I was paid $27 for per diem (therefore no benefits) before differentials.

Does anyone work for any of the Health First hospitals in the Melbourne area? Any idea what the average pay is for RN? Patient ratio? Any opinions on the area and the hospital in general would be appreciated.
