Good morning to all and whom ever is reading this at this moment.
I am new to this site and I would like some information please.
My fiance` and I are planning to relocate to WV and she is employed by HCA in Florida.
My question is, are there many hospitals in WV that are HCA owned? If so could someone please tell me the names and the cities they are located?
Thank you all so much and have a great day.
Tino.

I am sure HCA sold all 4 of their WV facilities to a subsidary of their organization, Life Point, I think. I am sure the closest HCA facility to me is in Virginia, not WEST Virginia. I am not sure how it would affect your finance to transfer or be a new hire, since these are all really under one organization. I wish you luck on the move to WV. When do you plan to be here? What area are you planning to move to? There are other facilities hiring but the pay may be lower than you are expecting. Hope this information helps.
Thank you for your reply,
We are still thinking about the move. She (my fiance`) works for HCA in Florida. She is an administrative assistant. I know that this board/forum is for nurses, but who else really knows the truth?!
Do you have any Idea as to what city would be hiring?
I have been doing some demographips on WV and it seems to me that Webster, or Tyler Counties are the ones we would like to live in.
Thank you again.
Tino
I am sure of the sale as announced in the local papers. I am sure a search of the Charleston, WV Gazette, or Daily Mail papers going back 2 or 3 months will give you the information you need.
The 2 counties you mentioned are very, very rural. I am not very familiar with Tyler county. Webster county has a small facility. It is a very beautiful county, lots of trees, lots of snow in the winter, no real major employer I can think of, and I really need to impress upon you the rural nature of the area. I know there is one major road in and one major road out. Summersville, WV is the nearest town I can think of that is any size to Webster county. Lots of people drive into Summersville to work from Webster Springs. I can only suggest you take a vacation, come up here, visit several areas and perhaps then you will have a better idea of what living here is about. While I love it here, have always returned from my travels to my rural mountain top, I do know several people who come here and find living is just too rural for them.
Good luck on your search. I know the Clarksburg area, Fairmont area, and the Gassaway area is growing. You may want to do research on Barbour County for some of the information on these towns. There is a new facility in Clarksburg. Just some added info for you. Have a good day.
