Have you relocated?

I am in love :redbeathe with the Pacific Northwest and have dreams of moving there someday. I currently live in the south...it is hot! The terrain is boring (to me, I know others who think it is beautiful). I do not have the luxury of living in the deep south with the piney woods, etc. I have visited the Seattle area and found it absolutely beautiful and breathtaking! Everything is nearby, beaches, mountains and TREES!!! I am starting an ED residency this month which has a two year commitment. I am hoping that after the commitment is completed (and I make it through the residency) that maybe, just maybe I might be able to seriously consider relocating.

My question is to those of you who relocated to WA state. What have been your pros and cons of moving? I would think that most relocated because of the scenery and people (loved my visit there!). Are you glad you made the move? Regrets?

I know the decision is ultimately mine (and my family), but just wanted some input from those who have relocated. Thanks! :D

Edited to add: I love gray days! Too much sun for me and I get depressed...I know, very odd....
