Have some questions

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

Hi, I am new here! I just completed my CNA class and now studying like crazy all of my skills for the State test in about a week. Where would I go and ask a few questions about CNA? I hope this isn't a dumb question, if so I apologize

This is a great site! I've been learning so much here. I haven't even started CNA class yet, but just a few suggestions I've found within this forum that I think might help you:

1) nerves will get in the way of the little things, like handwashing. Make sure you wash for the full 15 seconds. Try a trick like singing happy birthday in your head, or more simply keep an eye on your watch. Just don't forget the little things.

2) to calm your nerves a bit... treat the examiner like a student. It's easy to get flustered with someone watching your every move, but if you think of it more as you're teaching them what you know... it might help relax you a bit.

3) this may/may not be useful for you, but this has been helping me prepare for starting classes... it might help you refresh your memory for the test. It's a free CNA video lesson https://allnurses.com/forums/f265/free-full-cna-video-course-191189.html

Hope this helps

I also want to say... please don't ever feel that any ? is a dumb question. If you don't ask... how will you know? Remember that no harm ever came from asking a ? and you'll find that the people here (staff, members, etc.) are very supportive and are more than happy to help if they can.

Take care and good luck on your exam! :specs:
