I am a fellow RN. My daughter has a lump on her breast that U/S said is highly suspicious for cancer. Her military PCP wants her to have MRI of both breasts. Her earliest appointment is for July 30. That is so far out-especially since she got the U/S over 3 weeks ago. They have Tricare military insurance and that's the best they could come up with. Do you Oncology nurses have any suggestions of ways we could possibly get the MRI sooner? I've thought about taking to ER where there is MRI and hoping we get a sympathetic doctor but not likely. Im very concerned for my daughter of course and thought I would turn to my fellow nurses and pick your brains. I thank you for reading and if anyone has thoughts, I would appreciate it.
