I am trying it on myself, twice. No luck. At the dorsum of forearm. Did you try it? Which area do you suggest for the cannulation practice?

I don't think it would serve you well practicing on yourself because the angle at which you hold the cannula would be totally different from how it's done on another person. Also, you'd only have one hand available to begin with. You wouldn't be sharpening the correct skills and developing the correct habits to successfully start IVs in the future. Amazon has some affordable IV practice supplies, so I'd recommend buying a practice pad and using that.
