So I'm a military spouse at an overseas base, new grad nurse. They don't hire nurses on base very often and there are at least 50 nurses here that aren't working or have a non nursing job. So my dilemma: I applied for various jobs just to do something, well I interviewed for a job as a medical admin answering phones in the base hospital General Surgery unit and it went very well, but the hiring nurse (military) said she would rather consider me for a Nursing asst position, so I said ok. Well this job is a temporary 1yr with the option to extend and that was in August... In September, I got offered an admin asst job that pays ok and very stress-free that I accepted. A week later the hospital contacts me with a tentative offer, well the starting salary is about 5k (or $500/check) less so I requested more money since they are getting a Nurse for a Nursing asst position. Today I was notified that they are not willing to pay more but they will still send me a final offer.

My question is, do I take the job that will give me more experience (maybe) as a nursing assistant, or the non-medical job and more money? I am planning to start for my BSN and MSN in the next year so that if and when we do return to the US I am advanced, education-wise. I am just really not sure which job to take.
