Haunted Jobs?

Published

Supposedly there is a nursing home that is haunted. A whilte girl looks out from one of the windows and the staff supposedly hears her. I don't know if I buy it.

Then an ambulance company I briefly worked at sent an ambulance from another city up here because of the EMTs was crushed when a bus/truck/van/some sort of vehicle rolled into the back of it and the EMTs in that city refused to work in an ambulance that their coworker died in/on. This actually was true because I googled the story.

A few of the EMS stations are former funeral homes. I remember standing in one with three coworkers (2 leaving shift and we were coming on) and there was a loud noise in the garage. We thought an animal was in it. When we walked over there, there was nothing there. Oh, and two people had died in the parking lot due to violence (not in the best of neighborhoods, gunshot and the other was a stabbing).

Another former funeral home turned ambulance station was torn down. It was supposedly extra extra creepy.

The current hospital I am in has issues with the towel dispensers in the ER. The ones in the break room, bathroom, triage, and the nurses station will randomly go off when no one is near it to get it to go off. One of the phones also started randomly switching on for awhile but I'm willing to write that one off to a malfunctioning phone. The towel dispensers do it every shift and they have had the batteries replaced.

I think every place has its myths and ghost stories. After all, medical professionals deal with people in pain and the dying on a nearly constant basis. The opportunity is readily at hand.

Walter Reed and Bethesda were ripe with tales of supernatural woe, as is my current assignment. The hospital I'm at now is quite old and the upstairs offices used to be inpatient wards. One of them was a psych ward. You can imagine the tales told in those departments.

Is there some kind of weird trend where you live to turn funeral homes into ambulance stations?! Seems odd. You said a few, and then another one....that's four. What town is this??

At my St. John division we share it with the ambulance service and one night after getting back with our gear from a duty that finished at 1am we knew the paramedics would be asleep so we crept in quietly. As I was last in with a kit, I was careful not to make loud sounds....except this particular station has a spook/ghost and everyone knows about it (multicoloured light orbs appear in photos) I was walking past the kitchen a the fridge opened, mugs fell and the radio turned on when it was off before
