Has University of South Alabama improved?

Published

So I applied to the dual NP program at USA at the advice of fellow workers based on what they had to offer and the affordability. I am currently waiting for word of my acceptance to their online NP program but in the mean time I started researching more and more about the school. Many of the reviews were from allnurses.com but they were generally from 2009. I was wondering if anyone had any recent impressions of the school, especially the online disciplines. Thank you in advance.

I applied to the dual role too! I'm hoping the school has improved since 2009 as well. Fingers crossed for acceptance.

I'm currently attending USA in the PMHNP track and I really like it so far. After you get past admissions, the process is fairly straightforward. I won't say it's not completely without hiccups, as no school is. This will be my third semester coming up, and I can tell you from experience that as long as you can keep up with assignments and study the required material, and so long as you're fairly self-motivated and don't expect to be spoon fed all of the information, you'll do fine. If you have any specific questions, I can try to help.

I've only had one thus far. It was a small group project, and actually went really smoothly.
