No, the labs are done at home. You have to order a lab kit that comes with all the supplies and specimens (pretty pricey--mine cost $270 with shipping). You follow the lab procedures then answer questions. So far, it is not too bad, but I have not had to dissect the pig or the heart yet (yes, I actually have a real fetal pig, heart and kidney in my fridge. I think the heart & kidney are from a sheep). Should be interesting when I get to that point this week.
Tejas, I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I haven't forgotten. I am not a prolific poster, though, so I have not yet reached the number needed in order to PM you. I will say that class so far is going ok. I have an A average right now, but we are also only just ending the 3rd week. Hopefully I will be able to say the same at week 6 and week 8! :) I will for sure PM you when I get enough posts under my belt.
@nikkibro...I just finished A&P 1 and getting ready to start A&P 2 on Monday. I made an A in A&P and praying for an A in A&P 2!! I've taken Intro and it's a doable class...some reading but nothing like patho and pharm. I've also taken Tech Writing and it's doable too but a lot of busy work..a paper (short) weekly as well as exams..also a group project due at end of 5th week. Hope all this helps!!
tejas03 -- we'll be in A&P II together too! I think I have a better plan this time; I finished with a B and I was grateful! should I take A&P II, & Intro & Tech writing at the same time or should I save tech writing for spring? just trying to hurry (but make good grades, yet not totally crack up mentally) so I can just apply

I have considered doing it thru TCC for their second summer session in July, but am hesitant. I retook part 1 in San Antonio in 2009 as an 8-week summer session and it damn near killed me, but I got that A!!
TCC has it as a 5 week course and that freaks me out a bit.
I pre-enrolled in A & P II later this month thru UTA. I last took all my sciences in the early 90's, but got B's and I want to improve that average (it's really sad when you can't be happy about getting a B in a 4 credit-hour class, btw). I see where the textbook info is listed in MyMav, but don't see anything about a lab manual or a lab kit. Any info on this would be appreciated.
ETA: Hey, I just found the info! Thanks for reading, though.
