Has Anyone seen the new Tarrant County College Nursing FAQ's?

Published

Hi All,

New to the boards here, but I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me when TCC changed the FAQ page. They have added some things...like only accepting Eng II OR Dev Psyc...not both and they are also adding an extra bonus class...in nutrition. I just feel a little blind sided, since I have taken both Eng II and Dev Psyc...has anyone else had this issue too?

Hi cluman,

I've been reading allnurses for a few semesters, but just joined so I could reply to you!!! I am sorry you've had both classes already, but feel VERY lucky that I ran across your post as I had Comp II years ago and am supposed to start Lifespan on JUNE 1st. After seeing the FAQ page that was revised on 4-26-10, I think I will drop it and sign up for NUTRITION. Do you know which nutrition they want? HECO1322? I tried calling but just got a machine. Guess I'll try later, but the May mini session of HECO 1322 starts FRIDAY! I only need micro, but don't want to take it in the summer. Hope there aren't any more suprises before I can apply in January!

Thanks,

3wishes

Yes, it is HECO1322 Nutrition therapy, I called on monday to confirm...There are still ITV class slots available for summer II, ...that is what I signed up for. I figured that once people start noticing the change that class will start filling up like crazy! But good luck! It looks like they are excepting more people than in the past, which is great!

Yes, that IS great. I talked myself out of the Nutrition mini session. I'll just take it in the fall with micro. And I'll keep the Lifespan. I'll need it later if I do RNtoBSN at UTA, oh well. I am a little concerned that while the FAQ's still mention your overall GPA, they no longer say anything about considering specifically the SCIENCE GPA.:( I've worked hard to get 4.0 in the sciences, and I'll be bummed if that doesn't count for something on its own!

Yeah, I just got my Grade for A&P I and I got an A...so hard! But Dev. phsyc is not too bad, I just finished that class to and I learned alot, so I don't feel too bad about not needing it, but it was a bummer finding out I technically didnt need it. Hopefully the requirements stay the same for a while, I would hate for something else to be added or taken away!
