Not 2 years but I did take a year off. It was in college (traditional BSN program). I completed my freshman year, had major surgery and then had to take a medical LOA. When I returned, I was a sophomore and completed the next three years/graduated. I didn't have to take any extra tests or anything.

I completed the first semester of an ADN program in Dec, 2011, then had a baby and moved about an hour away (out of the community college district). Now that my daughter is a year old, I'm ready to go back to school and applied to the community college here. They said they'll admit me as a second semester nursing student if I can pass a Pharmacology exam and Fundamentals exam with skills test. I've been studying Pharm and taking practice quizzes for hours, but I'm so nervous. It was hard enough to take finals the same year I took the class let alone almost 2 years later. Has anyone else been in a similar situation, and were you successful taking the exams? I'm not even sure what to expect from the skills test - for ex., I wonder if I'll have to remember specific detailed assessments for different systems?
