Has Anyone Recently taken the PSB Lpn/Entrance Exam

Published

Just curious if Anyone has taken Recently taken the Psb/Lpn Exam. In need of Help... I just received my test scores and states that I have to retake the Academic Part.. Ughhhh. Kind of nervous, that I might not pass again. Some of the information on the test I have never seen In my life.. Anyone willing to help so I dont make the same mistake twice..

I used a book called "Review Guide for LPN/LVN pre entrance exam" by Mary McDonald. I think it was around $30 at Barnes and Noble. I'm sure you can find it on ebay cheaper, though. This book really helped me brush up on my science before the exam. I scored in the 90th percentile.

Which academic parts were you having trouble with? If I remember correctly, there weren't too many math questions. It was mostly like the SAT's in regards to those little pictures that said "this is to this and this is to ?" If you need help with that, just try to remember to pick the picture that is completely opposite to the first one shown. If the first one shown was a black triangle with a smaller white one within it, then the answer would be a white triangle with a smaller black one within it. I know it is confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it will be a piece of cake.

What LPN program are you trying to get into?

If you need any more help. Just let me know.

The Academic part of the PSB/LPN test consist of Verbal,NonVerbal and Arithmetic. The rest of the test I passed. Yes, I remember there wasnt to many math problems on the test. Mostly the ones with symbols like you had mentioned. So the final answer is the total opposite. Thanks for the helpful hint. Another part of the test that was confusing was the Verbal. Were you have to pick from the following words the one that didnt match the rest. I never Even heard of the words in my life.LOL. The school that Im Enrolling in is at the Lawrence County Votech, in New Castle Pa.

Yes, always pick the one that is totally opposite from the first picture shown. Once you get use to it, it will be a cinch for you.

My sister just graduated from that program. It's intense, but doable. I'm going to the Mercer County Career Center's part time program.

Good luck to you!
