Has anyone made a 100 on a&p section?

Just wondering what people's scores were on a&p section. I studied for 2 months and I made a 100. Although it was all totally different from what I had studied.

Congratulation Zizou10! What material you used to prepare?

Congratulation Zizou10! In which way the a&p was different to you?

I used the hesi admission exam book 2nd ed blue book and 3rd ed purple book(pretty much word for word), McGraw hill nurse entrance exams orange book and nurses test yourself in anatomy and physiology which is a black and pink book. I read the hesi books and McGraw hill book in the a&p section. I just skimmed over the nurses test yourself in anatomy and physiology book.and last but not least, I did a lot of quizzes and studied from quizlet. Did some questions in McGraw hill book and I recorded myself reading from the hesi book on my ipad.

Congratulations on your perfect score for a&p. That is so awesome. Did you find that the hesi admission books helpd you out very much? I am planning to take the hesi in Oct of 2014 and was wondering if it is worth buying. I already have that McGraw Hill book but I feel like I need more test prep materials.

I would say they helped, not very much though. If u look at it this way. If u know everything in the book and whatever ur using to study for a&p by HEART u can definitely increase ur chances because u can eliminate answer choices left and right. The hesi book is pretty much a summary;sort of, for a&p. it doesn't go in detail but is an overall concept of a&p. Do a lot of questions or quizzes and just be sure u know what u have studied by heart. On top of all this, I speak of course after u have already taken a&p 1 & 2 which I did 3 years ago. A test hint also is just go with ur first gut choice instinct. In the end a&p is just so broad of a subject to test only 25 questions. Let me know if there's anything else I can help u with.

I was just curious as to how specific the questions are, as in do we have to know every single name of the bones and muscles?

Mostly specific, but not too much in detail. Know what's in the hesi book without a doubt and brush up on a&p from older notes or a book. If you understand the hesi book like its nothing, then you will most likely make an 80 or above. Hesi book is an overall concept summary, it doesn't go into detail. So what I'm saying is if you get the hesi a&p portion in the book (summary concepts is what I refer to what's in the book) then you would have had to understand the details and main idea of how and what the summary is about. All this from which you should have recalled from your previous a&p classes.

It would benefit you to know all the bones, but not all the muscles. Just know major muscles like pectoralis major-chest muscle, deltoid, vastus lateralis, diaphragm. It's not going to be just bones and muscles on the test. A&P is too big just to talk about bones and muscles. You are going to have something for every system you learned in a&p class. Hormones, heart, lung, on and on because you know how vast a&p is and your only going to be tested on a crammed 25 questions.

Zizou10. You are the most thorough user I've seen. Thanks so much for your insight. I take my exam in December. I've been studying each system one by one for AnP since September . I haven't started using quizlet but will do so in November . My exam is December . And of course I am concerned mostly with AnP like everyone else.. Considering getting the mcgrawhill study guide also... Any advice ?
