Hi!
I applied to SHU-Georgian Court as well. I spoke with several admissions counselors it attempts to find out when notifications would be received. The scoop is such: Applicants are not reviewed on a rolling basis, and the deadline for all intended candidates is up until April 15. On April 17, admissions committees from SHU review applicants....an interview process is then scheduled from there after, and letters are sent out on or about the first week in May.
It's a long, dreadul wait, isn't it?
Well, here's to waiting and the best of luck?! SHU Georgian Court is my first choice, what about you?

Hi
SHU- Georgian court is my first choice but i live about an hour away and i'm not looking forward to commuting.
Hi Poohbear!
Glad to see your response! SHU Georgian Court is my first choice as well. I too live an hour away...and the commute may be hairy for me, I'd be taking 287 to the parkway, which is quite the nightmare! I'm crossing my fingers I get accepted, in which case, I may consider looking for housing down in that area. I've been looking online at the price of rent, and housing, etc. Although, I've heard prior students have commuting as far as NYC, so it is doable.
Where would you be commuting from?
Feel free to [PM me]...I'd love to make friends as the dreadful waiting process continues!
Best of luck, I'll do my best to keep in touch if I hear any additional info as we wait....
Fingers crossed and best of luck!:wink2:
Hi!
No, I attended an Open House way back in October...on the main campus. I did visit with a program director though about a month ago.
Commuting from New Brunswick may not be that bad...it's a crap shoot with Route 18 though. If I lived in that area, I may have considered commuting as well.
For me it's about 76 miles, and Route 287 is a killer in the morning. I live just past the Somerville and Bridgewater area, which unfortunately leaves me in the predicament of finding housing, provided SHU is the only school that accepts me.
I assume you went to the Open House, what did you think/find? Were there alot of potential applicants there?
And the waiting continues....
Congrats!
TJU is a great program! I didn't apply there because I'm still in college, and graduating in May...it'd have been too much of a brain crunch to start up school that soon.
Good luck as you embark on an experience. If I don't get accepted to the schools of which I applied, I may consider applying there in the future. That's a fantastic institution, with many options once you've gotten your RN!
Hooray for you!:bowingpur
Hi All,
Just wondering if ANYONE heard anything yet....I'm still waiting! I spoke with admissions last week and they said we "should" be hearing "very soon." No definitive date or time was given. Has anyone else heard any news? I can't take the waiting!!!!
I hope SOMEONE has good news soon!
