Go ahead and ease back on the throttle a little. Excela's interveiw is not the rapid fire clinical questions that you may be worried about. There still are some hurdles, but for the most part it is supposed to be a little less hostile than some of the others.
Just like everywhere else know; hemodynamics, vasoactive meds, pa lines, etc. Also be thinking about long term goals (after school), what you have done to prepair yourself for school (ie financial plan, family prep, etc). If you have specific questions try sending me a PM.
And remember, just relax, you don't need to be first in the class, just one of the class.
I interviewed with Excela last week. I loved it there! I arrived at the interview about 20 minutes before my scheduled time. I'm glad I got there early because there was a current student there to meet me. He showed me around the facilities and answered some questions for me. It was really nice to have that cushion time before I sat down with the interview people. The panel interview consisted of three faculty members and one student (the same one that showed me around). They had some pretty basic questions such as "why do you want to be a CRNA? What are your stregnths/weakness? How dependable are you?" etc.
The school of anesthesia is located in an awkward facility. The classroom and offices seemed small and kind of run down. But the people there were fantastic and very professional.
I looked into real estate while I was there also and was very happy to see that it all is very affordable- both to buy and to rent. I will be moving with my husband and three small kids, so living in a family environment is important to me. Everyone I met while in town was very nice to me. The public schools are supposed to be very good also.
All in all, I think it is a great school in a great location. Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me with specific questions. Good luck!

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard from any of the Pittsburgh area programs about interveiws for the fall 2008 semester. I have all my paperwork in and the wait is just making me a little antsy.
Either way just like to hear from those in the same boat I'm in. Best of luck to all.
