I am waiting on my acceptance letter for the Lpn to Rn. I was wondering if there was anyone who has gone here and could tell me what the program is like?

Hello! I currently attend Stark State. I am finishing the 2nd year of the nursing program and if all goes well I am set to graduate this May.
I did not do the LPN to RN transition so I don't have info on that but the nursing program itself is very challenging!! I have been told this program is one of the best in the area. The instructors are wonderful and extremely knowledgable. We currently have lecture 2 days a week for an hour and a half each day and then we have a lab day which is 2hours. We then have 2 clinical days each week where we work under our instructor with 6-7 other students in the area hospitals. All in all this is a great program but it's definately not a walk in the park!! Good luck to you and if I can help with anything else let me know!!
Well I got my letter today an I got accepted so looks like I will find out how the program is inJune . I am so excited I am one step closer to my goals
Thanks Amanda
Congratulations on your acceptance!! I'm sure you will like it at Stark. As I said before it is a great program but it is a challenge! If I could give you any advice at all it would be to stay focused and try to stay ahead with everything...reading assignments, written papers, lab skills etc. It is very easy to fall behind when the weeks fly by so quickly!! I'm sure you will do great! Best of luck to you!!!
