Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I was wondering if anyone has ever passed out or nearly passed out during clinicals, and if so were there any consequences? The reason I ask is, last night during a procedure at clinical I began to feel nauseous and had to leave the room. I felt as though I was gonna be sick and was on the verge of blacking out before finally sitting down. My skin was extremely clammy and I was breathing heavily. My clinical instructor took my blood pressure and it was extremely low at 80/30. She insisted on calling an ambulance but I declined, as I have experienced episodes like this in the distant past and I've always bounced back. Immediately after last night's episode I drank some orange juice and ate a meatball sub and my blood pressure stabilized, however I was still feeling a bit nauseous.

I'm not sure if my near passing out was due to watching an invasive procedure the first time, being dehydrated and hungry, or being overtired and stressed out. I do know that I am now required medical clearance from my doctor to return to clinicals and I have to meet with the student advisor and dean tomorrow to discuss the situation. Needless to say, I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone else experience anything like this?

I have. No consequences. My instructor just sent me home.

I was shadowing the wound care team and was doing fine. Most of the wounds I saw before I hit the floor were a lot worse than the one the last one that I saw before I passed out so I don't think that was the issue. I just started feeling hot and said I had to step out of the room, soon as I did that I hit the floor and became the patient instead of the nurse. Before I knew it I had a team around me taking my pulse and BP. I felt a bit better and tried to continue my day but felt dizzy again and had to sit down so my instructor told me I could not provide patient care like that and told me to go home. She was nice about it and really concerned. No problems at all.
