Hello fellow RN's. I'm almost done with the RN-BSN on-line program at Chamberlain College of Nursing. I have been granted an exception that allows me to take the last two classes (Evidence Based Nursing and Capstone Course) at the same time. I'd love to do this because it means I finish eight weeks earlier than anticipated. It also means that the last class will be eligible for financial aid. My fear is that it will be too hard to take both together. Thus far, I have taken one class at a time. I have always gotten A's with lots of room to spare, but that may be just because it was only one class. Has anybody taken these classes? If so, do you think it is possible to do well if I take them at the same time? I don't want to bite off more than I can chew, but I don't want to be afraid either. If the classes are very similar to the other RN-BSN classes, I think I can, most likely, manage it. But if these last two classes are a lot more involved, or difficult, I don't know if I can do them together.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Zena

I completed my BSN in 2016 and at that time, they would not allow doubling up EBP & Capstone. They have recently made changes to these courses as well. In the past, you could use the same topic from EBP for your Capstone. Now, you are no longer allowed to use the same topic. Due to the SIGNIFICANT amount of work in each class, I would not recommend doubling these 2 courses together. You will be utterly swamped, especially if you have a family.

I just started the program. I think the first class is easy. I'm considering double up on my classes while Im ahead. Is this doable? Do you reccommend? Thank you!
