FMC is the nation's largest dialysis conglomerate/corporation.
I never received a sign-on bonus, but this may be something "new".
When they say "managable" nurse to patient ratios, they mean just that... just barely managable. :stone
Their profit sharing is a joke. They took away our pension plan two years ago and replaced it with their profit sharing. Like we can really afford to retire on $300.00 a year. Give me a break.
Time off is decent.. accumulate 7 point something hours per pay period under five years, and 9 point something hours over five years, and gets better after ten years. But that doesn't mean you get the five weeks right off the bat.. that's after you've been there at least five or ten years. But even under five, the accumulated time off is decent, can't complain there.
The tuition reimbursement is a good thing. They may hold you to a one or two year commitment with FMC after you graduate, so keep that thought in mind.
Kaplan in a box is something new.. never heard of it.
Health benefits suk as with most large corporations these days. They give you the cheapest/stingiest companies to choose from. We have BC/BS which is outragous now in co-pays.
401 K is so so, but our pension plan was far better, but of course that's gone now.
Fitness club reimbursement is a joke, as is their vision plan.. as in a ten dollar coupon off. Heh.
Read the fine print and ask questions.. lots of them.
And it is strictly dialysis... 12-13 hour days, start at 0400 or 0500, and non stop run, run, run.
