I just got hired by this national flu shot and wellness company called summit health just as a means for supplemental income. Just curious if anyone has ever heard of them if they are good or bad? Thanks!!

I just started with them too...seems a little sketchy because they have medical assistants and phlebotomists counseling patients on how they can improve their health and they go over their results with them. That is outside the scope of practice of those people and seems illegal to me too. Don't know how long I'll stay with the company because this is an ethical dilemma for me.

Give them a chance, I've been with Summit Health for two years and they are one of the best health & wellness companies out there. All of their training is online now making it really convenient to stay up to date on everything. Direct deposit, which many don't offer. And the support folks are great!

Now if their payroll could just get organized and not make so many mistakes!

I've been with them since this past January. My only complaint is most of the clinic sites aren't close to my house. I have to drive kind of far to get to the sites, so I'm not getting near as much work with them as I'd like. It isn't that stressful of a job at least. I have noticed as well that MAs & phlebotomists counsel patients, but I don't see anything wrong with it. We aren't allowed to diagnose while there, or ask the patient questions concerning their health. We mainly do a BP check, height, weight, waist measurement & BMI. If some of their numbers are abnormal, we let them know, and that they may need to see their doctor.... There is a brochure that we give them, and that tells what is normal and abnormal. Anyone could do it, it's an easy job... I'm an LPN by the way...
