I know this is a teensy bit late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
I'm still hoping to become a NICU Nurse, but the way things are going it looks like it isn't going to happen. I have applied everywhere I can think of with no success. I have even applied for med/surg, couplet care, you know non-nicu jobs and still nothing. Heck I applied to a medical/telemetry unit and was declined with the dreaded "dear john" email. Granted that might be because its a new hospital and they just might not have the staff the precept a new grad. But....ummm...I have about 4 years tele experience, just need to get used to being an RN.
I read the posts and know in my heart of hearts that this is what I'm to do. I may be slow to learn some things, but once I get it...I do get it.
Here is hoping I hear something back from at least one of the several graduate nurse applications I put in for.
Keep up the good work, you guys are an inspiration.
