I am still working on taking my pre-reqs for UTA but I was curious to know how labs work with the online BSN program? NOT referring to the RN -BSN. From the website I see that the in person classroom get lab time to practice in the Smart Hospital plus having clinicals. How do you get hands on experience with doing the online program? I understand the online program does clinicals but how do you get practice in besides clinicals? Just curious to know how nursing can work online!

Welcome to AN! Have you contacted the school for answers to your questions? They would have the most accurate information.
Thanks! I have talked to my school and have an appt with my advisor on Monday. I just wanted a students perspective or someone who has already been through the program.

I'm in my first semester at UTA. We have foundation (7a-12p) and assessment labs (12:30p-5:30p) on Saturdays in the same hospital we do our clinical. There are classrooms available in one of the business buildings.

The only time you will have to go back to campus is the beginning of Psych to run scenarios and go over meds. Other than that your clinical instructor will teach you what you need to know and you will deal with patients early and often. It's a great program to become comfortable with care.
