Ok so I am currently enrolled in school. What is the process to have my legal status changed? I currently have tps which has been renewed almost annually since the earthquake in haiti. How difficult will it be? What is the process once I pass the NCLEX? I'd like to have a green card.

I think you will need to discuss your case with a immigration lawyer experienced in this area
How does my case defer from others who successfully obtain a GC through sponsorship. I thought maybe I could get some idea...I know I eventually will need to seek counsel.
You use tps and we have no idea what that is? I know what EAD means
Basically you need minimum of RN to get a GC if you are the main applicant and for that you need to have passed NCLEX for RN and Find a employer who is willing to wait the x amount of years it will take before you can work if you do not maintain any legal residency you already have that gives permission to work
Tps= temporary protective status. Thanks

You will need a RN license with a bachelor's degree in nursing in order for any hospital/facility to sponsor you.
They will not sponsor if you have anything lower than a bachelor's. It's a one of the requirements for USCIS H1B status.
Moreover, you won't get green card right away. I don't know much about your current status.
H1b requires minimum BSN however if trained in the U.S. A ADN will do for GC application however unless you maintain status you can not work until your PD is current and application processed
Thank you.

Hey, did you ever get more information on your TPS status and transitioning to green card? Please let me know if you did. I'd also like to know that info. Thanks
