I was looking at one particular website and it listed broad categories and a minimal # of opiates underneath it ? Can someone clarify ?

"6-MAM, codeine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, morphine, norhydrocodone"

also aren't at least some of those synthetic therefore opiods ?

There are several synthetic and semi-synthetic opioids in the list that you gave. I guess I'm not understanding your question. If a hair test is run, they will do an initial less in depth examination to test for the presence of opioids. If it comes up 'positive' then they can apply the more in depth testing to find out exactly which drug it was that caused the positive.

The reason I asked about opiods is bc on the website it terms this category as "opiates." I am not sure if this clarifies but the reason I asked is bc the way it is displayed on the website it is not explicit if those drugs will trigger a positive for opiates or if the individual metabolite will be listed .
