Firstly congratulations. If you got into the program then you're a winner. HLPAS comes with a great reputation. Does the other school have a great reputation? Secondly, if you are serious about your education, and the doors it will open, stay with Hacienda. Lastly, consider the cost. I think Hacienda is probably still the cheapest around.
Happy New Year! You start in feb/mar? Either way, best of luck. Be prepared to give your all, because that is what it will take. Whatever happens in your life, do your very best to make school your number one priority.
Be mindful of your manners, always stay humble, and bond with your classmates/teammates. This should be your daily prayer.
Cheers to new beginnings.
I just received acceptance from the program. However, they are required you to be top 27 students in Nursing Fundamentals to continue the program. Anyone also in the program or recent gradates can give me some advice how hard it will be to be top 27? Is 75% enough? Because I have been accepted by another adult school and they don't have this rule. You just need to pass 75% to continue. I really like Hacienda La Puente's program than the other school, but I just don't like the feeling that they can still drop you. Any advice?
you mind me asking what other adult school you were accepted to besides this one?
I overlooked responding to," is 75% enough". No. It will not allow you a solid placement in the final group. That's what you want. When i was there, My group included approximately four college grads, one had a masters in finance. Sometimes the competition can be very strong. You'll need a 90% average to be certain. Remember, they also have alternatives in the precourse with you. They ger in, if you don't, so they have a greater incentive to out do you. Again, best of luck to you.
Yes, and I pretty sure you will. However, this is just the beginning. We already lost couple student in 4 weeks of nursing fundamental and it wasn't grade related. We have final next week and whoever below 75% will be dropped. I think we will lose another 1 or 2 student at least. So be prepared.
