Hello all! I am curious to see who is applying for Fall 2020 at Gwinnett Technical College. I just submitted my application and my nerves are really feeling it!
Hope to meet you all!
Caution. Do not discuss the contents of that retracted email. If you are using your real name or something close to it, consider editing it. Be very careful. Have kindness and forgiveness to the person who sent out that email after 5pm on a Friday. That person must have been exhausted. Have mercy for that person. Peace.
Would you happen to know/remember what textbooks you used for your first semester? I’ve tried looking it up on the GTC bookstore site (info is not available) and everywhere else online but there’s no information on this anywhere. Also, are the first semester textbooks “GTC exclusive” or are they available on Amazon, etc?
Thank you ?

It will be a welcome letter stating which immunizations you'll need, background/drug screenings to complete, how to get your uniforms, CPR/BLS certification, and a BUNCH of other things. They also might have a textbook list for you to get a jump start on your purchases.

Then sometime this summer you will probably have a basic orientation day where you get to meet some of the teachers, and get a bit more information about the program (take this opportunity to meet some of your classmates as this is YOUR COHORT and you'll be with them for the ENTIRE time).
Then LEAP DAY... this is the big information day where you'll be at the school for about 6 hours or so. You'll get your schedule, lab bag with 2 years worth of materials for lab, and an in-depth view of exactly what you'll be doing during the first semester (most likely Foundations and Pharmacology).
This is your moment!!! You've worked hard for this, and now it's no longer a competition; you're all here for one another. You got the spot. Your cohort will become your family, and you'll get through this together.
