Gurnick Academy for LVN

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Hi,

I've never posted but been a frequent visitor here :) What a great website!

As many of you, considering the impacted status of the nursing programs in California, I am thinking of resorting to private school to get my LVN.

I'm looking at Gurnick Academy predominantly due to their evening program.

What I can gather through research is that the school is helpful and academics not too bad.

Are there any recent graduates/ current students that can offer some input? I've read most of the responses relating to the school on the site but they are pretty dated.

I've also looked at NCP and even though their pass rate is higher then Gurnick's I've heard that the campus is in a horrendous state and they do not seem to offer a evening program in South San Francisco.

Your input will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks

:)

I just posted a comment about this school.... I don't know anything yet, but am going to go check it out in a few days. Did you find out anything yet?

Specializes in Pediatrics, OB/GYN, ER, Geriatrics.

All I can say is that I am transfering there from Merritt College's LVN program and they are taking all my previous credits...I was very impressed with the school (Concord Campus) and love the fact that they have an evening program so I can keep my full time job.

Also, the instructors seem very nice and want you to succeed (Merritt could care less if you pass or fail), the staff are extremly helpful....I am so excited to start there and wish the best to all of you...
