Hi All,

I'm applying to the Spring 2012 RN program in Panama City, Florida. Wanted to see if any others were planning on applying or if anyone is currently in the program.

Submitted my app today.. everything is good to go! Counselor said admission decisions will be mailed the first two weeks of Nov.

Hi I've been trying to find info on this school. Im from MI and planning to move to FL in the spring 2012. Anything you can tell me about the program would be great. I found all I can from their website.

There isn't much information on the web about this school. I just applied and should hear back in Nov of my status. I heard last semester they had around 150 applicants for 50 spots. I tried to get more stats from last years class but they aren't allowed to tell I guess.. She just said the HESI is looked heavily upon. This school is 40 min away from where I live and I haven't met any students who have gone through this program so this is a shot in the dark for me, but they admit twice a year so it'll get me started sooner than fall 2012..

Okay. I looked at the class schedule and there were still 12 open spots for intro to nurse and 13 clinical spots. So IDK if that's normal or not. The schools around me have a point system that they go by but its usually posted or mentioned somewhere. I already have all the prereqs and coreqs done so I hope it would strengthen my application.

Yeh, I am in the same boat, have a BA already and all pre and co reqs done. Already took HESI and scored a 90% overall but taking it again next friday. They seem pretty much sealed lips about the scoring process. Won't let much out about how they recruit. Have you taken the HESI yet? are you planning on applying for Jan 2012? She did say there was no waiting list so I'm assuming they invited 50 applicants to join but 13 declined? Guessing they don't want those seats filled... only thing that questions me is their 2009 NCLEX was 84% and last year was around 94%.... I'm hoping this is a good program...

I haven't taken the HESI yet and I probably wouldn't be able to have my transcripts evaluated before the deadline, so Im going to apply for Fall 2012.

And having that many empty seats is rare. Its usually 0 or 1/2. I guess they don' t use an alternate system?

no, I think thats what she meant by having no wait list. Doesn't make sense.. isn't a college in the business to make MONEY??!!

Hey my name is Tracy, I just saw this thread when I was searching Gulf Coast's spring semester schedule. I got into the spring nursing program as well!! I live in Destin and I'm glad to see I wont be the only one driving from here~LOL! Congrats on your acceptance! I'm excited!!

awesome! congrats... I literally just came back from doing my fingerprinting and picking up some more supplies. Already got my clinical scrubs,patch,lab guides for the first class and pharm (syllabus is included) so I'm starting on my flash cards today! getting a head start! good luck!
