I've been obsessively checking the Texas Board of Nursing website for my graduate nurse permit for a week now. I finished classes on May 3rd. Passed exit HESI on the 10th. School was not going to send the affidavit to the Texas Board of nursing until we passed the HESI and they said would take "up to 4 weeks". And the Board takes how long? I don't know. All I know is I have a job waiting for me and all I need is my graduate nurse permit to start training. Instead, after having my entire life consumed by nursing school, I'm sitting around waiting to START my life again. I have got to find a better way to fill my time. And pick up some extra shifts as an aide or something because I NEED TO WORK.
I can feel ur pain. We took out HESI like back in March and graduated May 15, 2010. I have a job lined up. Actually I was suppose to start orientation this week but I didn't have my GN license. this so blows. Have a blessed day
