I was wondering if anyone on these forums had sent a request or had contacted group one, whose job as a corporation is to feed information from past employers (corporate) to future potential employers, to see if they would provide you with the information on their reports they have on you? Group One's purpose is to help corporations filter out "bad" candidates for employment.
Here's another forum on group one: https://allnurses.com/texas-nurses/group-one-background-108647.html

I have not. But by looking at their site, it appears for $10.95 you can get your report. As for the research I have done, not sure if you get a reason. Just that you are on. If you are unemployed (among other stipulations) you can get a free report. My friend wondered if she was on and was on the phone for over 2 hours. Write and make copies. This is like dealing with a credit reporting company only worse.
They are to go nationwide. This is ridiculous! WE NEED TO STAND TOGETHER!'
They may be legal but not ethical. We are nurses we are nothing but ethical and moral!
This has not affected me but you never know. I only learned of this last week after 15 years in nursing. I am outraged!
Sorry for the ramble!

every profession has their share of people who are not ethical and moral, and nursing is certainly no exception to this statement.
group one has been festering in the dallas/fort worth metro area of texas since the late 1980s. i would be concerned if this entity were to extend its sphere of influence to a nationwide level.
