Ok so here's a little background. I am on the path to pursue nursing (LVN specifically). I'm still working on my pre reqs. I've been looking for a job so I can have money in my pocket while i'm going to school, and my friend may have a great opportunity for me. His relatives own a nursing home. They house about 6 special disabled patients. My duties would be feeding them, giving them baths, changing them. I dont have any experience with this. Mind you my work history includes being an administrative/office assistant. They said they will train me everything and the pay is $10/hour.
Now, I'm not sure what to do? I know it is a great opportunity and learning experience. However I don't know if I can handle such a big responsiblity. And the fact that these patients are disabled is an even greater challenge. I would love to hear your opinions or any feedback. Thanks so much.

I guess it would depend on how flexible the hours are. I work about 24 hours a week 7p-7a and I'm taking about 24 hours. Honestly, that is LOT for me to work as a parent too but I make it work.
I'd say the nursing home could be a great opportunity for you at this point of your schooling. I would not, however, want to stay in that position all the way through if you can land a hospital job. I think a hospital job will open many doors for you later on that the nursing home won't. That is, if you want to have a hospital job after graduation.
