Hello,
Has anybody here applied to the Psychiatric nursing program at Grant MacEwan? If you were a previous student, on a waiting list or is accepted right now by all means make your presence known! I'm fairly new to this place just to let y'all know :) I'm currently still waiting for a seat for fall 2013
Thank you! :)

@BumbleBea I am currently wait listed for the 2015 fall waitlist. Did you end up getting off the waitlist and accepted for fall 2013??????
@Veganlover123
I ended up getting off the waitlist but that did not happen until Fall 2014 where I finally got accepted. My advice: stay on the waitlist and have a back up plan! You never know when you will get accepted and call them to ask where you are on the list. Good luck! Feel free to PM :)

I have no idea how to private message, so I'll just chat on here, if you don't mind!
I got into practical nursing so that is my backup plan! However, I REALLY want to do the psychiatric nursing at Grant Macewan and I applied in November and the application dates opened in October so I don't believe I'm too far down the list!! I want to do it so badly and I am going to stay on the list until I have no choice but to go into practical nursing. They only take 42 students for psychiatric nursing which sucks, but they emailed me in February telling me I am on the admission-able wait list. What do you think?
I recommend to stay on the waitlist but you can also go in Practical Nursing and then go into psych nursing afterwards if you don't get a spot on the list. Don't lose hope though, you may get accepted late I to RPN! But just don't forget you can still transition into RPN from Practical nursing... It just takes a bit longer.
@Nightingalez
I am going to stay on the waitlist. I asked to know what spot I was sitting at on the waitlist and they told me they cannot provide students with the list numbering because it is too dynamic and can change daily, which is understandable. I was waitlisted December 18, 2014 so I SHOULD be close to the top, especially because most waitlisted applicants decide to remove themselves from the waitlist. Hopefully I get lucky and get a call .
Did you stay on the wait list the entire time? Because most students don't, so I have a good advantage over that since I am going to wait as long as possible!
I am just so anxious!!!!

Were you able to get into the program? What kind of grades did you have? I really want to get into the RPN program but I think my grades aren't good enough.
@Navcorp
I did NOT end up getting in my grades were all above 80% and you only needed a 73% Average in the required classes, however they accept people on a first come- first - serve basis. This really is unfair for the people who have better marks. So I suggest to you apply AS SOON IT OPENS (usually the begging of October)
