I just wanted to say Hi. I'm not attending GRCC, but GVSU. I hope you get your questions answered, and congratulations on getting into the program! By the way, I have a friend who may be interested in getting into their LPN program. Is there a waiting list? Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

I completed the program 3 years ago It is intense but a great program I wish that I had waited for the RN program instead. Good luck to you!
Firefly, Thanks for answering, and I have a question....Why do you wish you would have taken RN program???
and Do you think I should complete any preq before programs starts??
Thanks for your time and help :)

hospital setting which was my choice. I rarely get to use any of the skills I learned in school. There are so many more opportunities for RN's and the program is not that much more difficult!!!! I think that it would be best to do all you prerequisite's while you are waiting to get into the program! I enjoy being a LPN, but a lot of the time I feel that I am working as a CT. I work in a

Well I hope the nursing program is better than the Occupational Therapy program. My sister was in it and had many obstacles put in her way when she almost had her associates. The people that run the program do not have the interest of the students in mind.
She is now going to GVSU to get here bachelors, but none of her OT classes transfer! That tells me something about the GRCC program!

Hi all!
I am currently in CA, the wait list is insane for community college and forget about the tuition at a private college! $40,000 just for the LVN/LPN program. Anyway, I'm thinking of relocating out of state, my husband grew up in MI...I came across GRCC. How long is the wait list? And what does contact hour mean? Here in Cali. we pay tuition per class credit not contact hour.
Any response would be extremely helpful!!
