Hi! I am wondering if there is anyone here that has completed the GCU new capstone that requires 100 hours of onsite clinical with a preceptor? I am having a very difficult time wrapping my head around the requirements and am thinking of switching programs before I get too deep into GCU . Any experience would be so wonderful. Thank you!

I would say that I'm surprised how many people have been in the same boat, but I'm really not. What is astonishing is how long this has went on for. I've read YELP reviews dating back SIX years complaining about the same exact problem. There has to be something that can be done about this.
It seems to me like a money grab scheme. They take so long to email me back about securing a preceptor then tell me I need to go on a leave of absence. If I go over 6 months without taking the class, I need to repay the cost of my loan...
I've tried many facilities with no luck. It is just impossible to secure a preceptorship without the help of your school. When I finally find one they tell me they are affiliated with them but there is "red tape". I told them that I've spoken with the clinical director for the hospital and my preceptor already (a lot of work on my end BTW), and they tell me they still have to find out if I have to complete some sort of requirement in order to go through with the preceptorship. Weeks go by and now it's been well over a month. I have now started my first job and have no extra time to spare. The emails stop coming all together. If someone on this thread could get an attorney to agree to a class action law suit, I'm all for it.
