Hi everyone..
I am a graduate nurse in the philippines and I'm here in california and was wondering if I am qualified as a CNA if i have a BSN diploma? I want to work as a CNA while im still waiting for my ATT and eventually pass and get my RN license.
Thank you!

Do you actually have a visa that will permit you to work or are you in the US on a tourist visa?
If tourist visa, then you cannot work here legally, does not matter what type of schooling that you have been thru and since you did not mention visa status, surmise that it is a tourist visa.
You are going to need to be more specific if you wish an answer, because what you have asked usually is not available for you to do.

Pardon me for not giving a more concise question. And yes i can work legally here in Califronia because I'm a immigrant.
Why would you wish to work as a CNA? You are going to need to prepare almost full-time to be able to pass the NCLEX-RN exam.
You will also find it hard for faciliites willing to hire you and train you if you are only going to be waiting to pass your exam. I would focus on that.
But in the future, it would be nice if you provided appropriate information in the beginning. We get many here that wish to come to the US on a tourist visa or another visa and cannot work.
But do be aware that if you are an immigrant, it means that you are a green car holder here and still a citizen in the Philppines and hold a passport from there, correct? You may wish to do some reading if you have not taken and written the NLE exam, as the requirement is not waived for you and CA BRN is getting much stricter on this requirement.

i was looking into getting in the CNA business because i need a job now. i have not been working for months and a job will greatly help me.
thank you again.:redbeathe
And since you are on a green card, you may have issues with them not permitting you to sit for the exam since it is not actually waived for you, only for those that hold a US passport and cannot legally write the NLE exam.
ATT does not come from the BRN, you are trying to get eligibility to sit for the exam. The actual ATT comes from Pearson-Vue once the BRN approves you and you have paid for the exam. Never sent before then.
