My issues with my application to CABON has led me to this site. I graduated on 2007 and passed the PNLE the same year. I took the NCLEX 2009 and eventually failed. I decided to moved on and had an offer to work in the middle east. During that time my then boyfriend (now husband) who was serving in the military (till present) planned to be stationed to where i was working and we eventually got married. We have been back to back to back stationed overseas and i never really had a chance to process my application. i decided to challenge NCLEX again last year and since we are back stateside this year i thought i have the chance to fully focus with my application.
Oh man i didn't know and have no idea regarding the concurrency issue until i started the process. I have completed all the requirements except for the complete record of my clinical cases. I went to my school just this year during our vacation and talked to the registrar regarding the paperwork CABON has requested. they were asking for rle booklet which i don't have, and can't even remember it ever existed during our time so they can start the process. What is even more frustrating was when they told me that their handling of clinical records is only 2 years.
I was surprised to know that they don't keep student's record on their database. So not only that i was worried about the concurrency issue I was even more worried after reading the threads that the CABON will deny you outright if you can't present them with that record.
I'm still on the process of dealing back and forth with my school and waiting for CABON response regarding my case.
For the meantime i'm already working on my plan B just incase i got denied which is going back to nursing school here in the US and start all over again. Anyone have been on the same boat as mine and which college did you go to? Did you have to waitlist or is there sort of a program where you can only take a few classes if some of the class taken in PI are accredited?
