Graduate Nurse Permit & NCLEX

Just wanted to share my experience....

I took the NCLEX yesterday morning. I got 75 questions and then the computer shut off! I was horrified...really wanted more questions. I didn't feel like I had done my best. Well, I got home and immediately did the pearson vue trick, and got the good pop-up. I keep checking it like a mad woman because I really don't know if I trust it or not.

Pearson vue says that my test was "delivered successfully" also. So, I called the Texas Board of Nursing this morning and asked "When will my GN permit be taken away if I fail the NCLEX?" He quickly said "Immediately!" Then he said "Well, as soon as we receive notification." So, I said "so if my permit is still there and it says my test was delivered successfully, is that good?" He hesitated and then said..."Maaayyybeee" lol!

I just thought I'd share! It's so hard to wait for the results, but this gives me a little bit of hope that maybe I passed. I find out in the morning and will update the results then.

Congrats in advance!!! I took mine yesterday and I got 165 questions. (Me and you are opposites because I was hoping for 75 lol). I got the good pop up as well! Good luck to us!

It's horrible!!! I'm hoping the PVT can hold me over until I check the Board of Nursing website, since I don't feel like spending the 8 bucks lol.

I am a frugal person and had a hard time justifying paying for early results but the peace of mind was worth that $7.95!

me too!! I'm totally thrifty!! And even despite the PVT I STILL went ahead and got them LOL. But you are sooo right, it is worth it!
