I'm so sorry. I'm sure you were promised a well-paying job and career as a nurse, but these were false promises.

Unfortunately, the school you attended, Hosanna College of Nursing Inc., located in Miramar, Florida, was a non-accredited, private, for-profit institution.  The education you received did not adequately prepare you for nursing practice.

Nurses who graduated from Hosanna College have a low NCLEX pass rate, and graduates of the Hosanna College of Health, Inc. nursing program's RN or PN education are not eligible for licensure in many states.

Start Over

Being involved with this program has negative consequences for your career. Moving forward, distance yourself from this school, leave this behind in your past, and start over.

  • Research potential nursing programs and make sure they are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Accreditation is crucial for nursing schools because it ensures that the program meets national education standards and is recognized by state boards of nursing, which is necessary for licensing and eligibility to take the NCLEX.
  • Look at the NCLEX pass rates of any school you are considering.
  • Consider attending a community college, as its programs can be more affordable. Ensure that you can transfer to a higher-level university later on. Not all credits from community colleges automatically transfer, so be sure to research the transfer policies of the university you're interested in.

Best wishes,

Nurse Beth
