I live in Arizona and see job ads for medical assistants all the time. Hospitals here use them, I think as registration clerks, as well as the usual clinics, etc. Cost of living here is lower than national average. Arizona is the national leader in the charter schools movement and we have several excellent ones in Phoenix metro. My kids go to one I love. Other larger cities here include Tucson (hot dry desert similar to Phoenix), Prescott (small mountain city, very pretty, about the same elevation as Denver), and Flagstaff (higher mountain elevation, lots of snow in winter). Arizona is my adopted home and I love it here. :)
