GPC Prereqs

Published

I was checking out GPC and am a little confused so if any of you could help me, I'd totally appreciate it.

Do you have to have all of your prereqs finished before applying? I will have everything but the American Government done prior to coming out to GA in Spring 2007. If I don't need to have them completed, I was thinking of applying for the Fall 2007 track. I'm also going to apply to NGCSU but want to make sure I cover my options just in case I don't get accepted!

Plus, what are the general acceptance GPAs like? I currently have a 3.3 and an hoping that'll go up next semester as well...

Thanks!

Kristin

No, you don't have to have all of your pre-reqs completed before applying. But they do advise you to have all courses completed before starting the actual nursing program so that you can concentrate strictly on the nursing classes.

As far as gpa goes, I just got accepted for fall 2006 and my gpa is 3.6. They also require you to take the NET and pass that with a composite score of 60 or more (I think that is the score). I received an 80. Hope this helps.

Make sure to have A&P I out of the way before applying and at least a 2.5 GPA overall on your science classes. You are not required to have all the prereqs out of the way, but as stated with the other thread, it is highly recommended. I got admitted into this fall's program with a 3.5 and a NET score composite of 84%. If you are thinking of going to GPC, please make sure to get the NET study guide at eriworld.com. Good luck and keep us posted.
