Hello!
I'm one quarter away from finishing an RN program and I am concerned that my GPA will keep me out of future masters programs, considering how competitive schools are. I have a 3.44 at the moment after failing one quarter (literally half of our class failed... it was awful), and I have only one class left to bump it up a bit. I have a bachelors degree in public health and was hoping to apply to a masters program at the University of Washington that accepts students with bachelors degrees in a non-nursing field as long as you have an RN license.
I am not familiar with UW's acceptance criteria (their website says a GPA of 3.0-4.0 is required, but who really gets in?)
Anyway, has anyone been in my situation? If so, how did it end up?
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give!

Advice:
1) Don't worry... things will be what they'll be.
2) Pursue as much broad experience as you can outside of your specific nursing role. Most programs with which I'm familiar value breadth of experience. Think volunteerism, active participation with nursing organizations, work with disaster-response organizations, etc.
3) Being the academic world, think "publish or perish." Write articles and submit them to any and all appropriate publications.
4) Take some concurrent education classes... and rock them.
Just a few ideas that come to mind.
Oh yeah... and don't worry :-)
